You have found Comedy Town!
The Shimmy Shake Project is very excited to announce that we will be performing at a new venue beginning Friday, August 6th! The Shimmy Shake Project and Fake Bacon will be combining our unique comedy forces for a knee-slapping time at Comedy Town.
You will find Comedy Town nestled inside the Gateway Film Center, located at 1550 North High St. in the heart of OSU’s South Campus Gateway. Performances will be every first and third Friday of every month beginning Friday, August 6th. Showtime is 8:00pm, and cover charge just $5.
So, clear your calendar, grab a guy or girl – or an entire group of friends – and join us for some laughs! And, yes, there will be a bar right there in the very room where we’ll make improv hilarious!
Directions and Parking:
You can park in the GFC parking garage on 11th Ave east of High St. Remember to take your parking stub with you and have it validated at the GFC ticket counter, so you pay only $1 for 3 hours of parking! The Gateway Film Center is located in the South Campus Gateway pedestrian alley between 9th and 11th Ave. From the garage, walk through the main garage doors into the pedestrian alley, and the Gateway Film Center will be on the left. See you there!
The Shimmy Shake Project performed for the last time at Gresso’s Bar Thursday night. It was a high energy mix-n-match show between the Shimmies, Bacons and Spotters (See Spot Run). It was so much fun the audience demanded more!! And we gave it to them! We’ll miss the friendly staff and good food, but it’s time for the Shimmies to move on. Keep checking the web site for information regarding regularly scheduled Friday shows coming this August at a new location.
Come out to see us tonight – same time (8:00 pm), same place (1200 W. 3rd Ave.) – at the newly-named Woodlands Tavern. Although the bar is no longer the Ear, come thirsty and ready to laugh with our usual line up of stellar local improv troupes and a new troupe showcase beginning at 8:00.
Shake-n-Bake presents: Location Career Death: a guessing game in mime. Kind of like the game telephone except everything is acted out instead of spoken!

“Subject: Great show tonight
I really enjoy watching the Shake – n – Bakes (together and individually.) You guys have no fear and that is awesome. Give my kudos to your team and, if I don’t make it to Mad Lab this weekend, break legs.
