The Shimmy Shake Project

In the words of Justin Timberlake, “Damn girl, damn girl, damn girl, damn girl, damn…thers’s something about the way you do the things you do, when you do the things you do that’s got me oh, oh, oh…” The Shimmies did things oh so right last night and rocked the house!  We had such a great time celebrating our First Year Anniversary with everyone! The Thirsty Ear was packed with an outstanding crowd. Of course, our main guys from Fake Bacon were there. They indulged us by giving us extra time to perform and then called us up to play in their sets! Thanks for your constant support and encouragement Fake Bacon. You guys are fantastic!

We could not have done our show without our awesome audience members. A big shout out to last night’s honorary member of The Shimmy Shake Project, Surphel. Surphel shared A Day in his Life with us and to put it “blunt”-ly stole the show!  Enough said. Our goal is not to get people arrested for being honest!

Shawn had such a great time being analyzed at the last Shimmy show that he got up on stage last night with Nancy in Moving Bodies. Nancy and Shawn destroyed a tree and helped to cultivate true love in the process. Thanks for getting physical with us!

Aaaah, Judy and Chris our suitoress and suitor in The Dating Show. The regular stalker, who is a sociologist and studies everyone and everything and the internet stalker, who doesn’t have time for a hobby, because he’s too busy Googling his potential dates. Choices, choices.

We ended our First Year Anniversary show by taking the Da Do Ron Ron title back from the Bacons. Sorry guys…when you’re hot you’re hot!

We have our one year anniversary show coming up on September 23rd at the Thirsty Ear at 8:30! We have a great set planned to celebrate and we hope everyone will come out and help us have a great anniversary show!

It is true that Scott is currently wearing the tiara for winning the Dah Do Ron Ron last Tuesday at The Thirsty Ear Tavern, but it is only a temporary victory. The Shimmies want the coveted crown back, so bring it on…BRING IT ON!! GRRRR!
